Drive through the thick woods of tall sal trees absorbing the sight, sounds and scent of the forest. Be a part of the magic that unfolds in the silence of the jungle; rhinos roaming lazily in the grasslands, some young deer crossing the road playfully, peacocks dancing and kingfisher pouncing on its prey. It’s around 400 km drive from Delhi. The park remains open to public from November to June, though the best time is in between February and March. Be ready to spot royal Bengal tiger, leopard, swamp deer or barasingha, one-horned rhinoceros that were successfully reintroduced in 1984, and critically endangered species like the Bengal florican and the hispid hare. In addition you can expect to spot more than 400 species of birds.
