If you thought that the twin cities of Mathura Vrindavan are only about Hindu temples and Yamuna ghats, you really need to pay a visit to the beautiful Jama Masjid. The mosque was constructed under the supervision of Abd-un-Nabi Khan in 1662, who was a faujdar of Itawa appointed by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Located close to the famous Krishna Janmabhumi Temple complex, this mosque is a wonderful work of art. A look at the four elaborately designed minarets can mesmerise any art lover. So, do make a point to visit the majestic Jama Masjid when in Mathura.
