If you’re looking for a local eatery, there’s no place like Duly’s Place, a greasy spoon with a neighbourhood vibe. Founded in 1921, this business hasn’t changed in decades: it’s a real all-night American diner, the kind of place you can grab pancakes and some conversation at any hour of the day. The owner Gjoka “Joe” Gojcaj seems to know everyone who comes through the door, and even if he doesn’t he’ll talk to you like he does, pouring you more and more free refills of coffee so that you’ll stay just a little longer. Come here late at night when people are chatty after a night out, and enjoy the breakfast. It’s a place you’ll feel welcome at, even if you’ve never even been to Detroit.
