Visit the War Remnant Museum to get insights into the many wars fought with both the French and the Americans. The museum showcases exhibits on history, statistics and the weaponry used during the war. The American war, as it is known in Vietnam, went on from 1955-1975 (20 years) and the aftermath can still be seen throughout Vietnam. It took over 2 million lives and left some 3 million injured and orphaned, a majority of these were civilians. It is said that the American government spent close to approximately $900 billion on this war and its impact is considered to be comparable to those of the two world wars, if not worse. You will be forced to think how in a short span of time this country has recovered from the horrors of war. One can easily spend about 2 hours at the museum, is worth the entrance fee of 15000 d.
