Located near Banjara Hills, this temple is a replica of the original Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha. Although it was built only in 2009, it is considered an architectural landmark in Hyderabad. Spread over 3000 sq yards, it was constructed using red sandstone. Its most striking feature is the 70 feet high shikharam or central tower. The walls are decorated with intricate carvings made by over 60 sculptors. The temple is at its festive best during the Jagannath Yatra, when thousands of devotees attend the celebrations revolving around the pulling of the sacred chariot. There are also temples dedicated to gods such as Shiva, Ganesha, Hanuman and the navagrahas within the complex.
