Take the afternoon off and head on a road trip along the coast to the Takamaka Bay Rum Distillery. Located inside a 200 year plantation homestead, the La Plaine St Andre, a National Monument of Seychelles, it is now a restaurant and a bar besides a rum distillery. Take a guided tour to watch a bit of rum in the making and end the session with some rum tasting. Incidentally, the dark spice rum is my favourite. You can also bring home a few bottles. Spend the rest of the afternoon on a nature trail and watch the giant tortoises Taka and Maka basking in the sun.
