Wrap yourself up in nature’s glories with a trip to the Botanical Gardens, close to the city centre. Take a deep breath and inhale the sweet scents of some of the 12,000 plant species that are housed here, including a number of rare and protected types.

A relaxing walk through the gardens will take in waterfalls, tropical greenhouses and a number of themed areas including rockeries, medicinal plants, an arboretum, the Winter Garden, and a scent and touch garden for the blind. The herbarium contains around six million specimens and is believed to be one of the most important collections in the world.
