Famous watering hole for writers
This snug little place on the outskirts of Temple Bar wears its literary heritage on its sleeve (or, rather, its walls), with a picture gallery of the famous writers who have graced its stools, Patrick Kavanagh and W.B. Yeats amongst them.
It's no Irish-themed tourist trap, however. High quality pints - Guinness especially - have ensured a loyal local following and both decor and atmosphere remain resolutely unreconstructed. Upstairs is a music room where, if you're lucky, you'll stumble upon an impromptu gig.
