Cheap and cheerful vegetarian cafe and health food shop

Noteworthy for: Jagganath was one of the first vegetarian restaurants to open in Moscow, and to this day there are still less than five exclusively vegetarian restaurants in the city.

The go-to place for Moscow’s vegetarians, Jagganath offers a wide range of inexpensive vegetarian and vegan dishes from its self-service cafe, while there’s also a pricier restaurant in the back.

Taking heavy inspiration from the Asian subcontinent, there are adverts for yoga classes all over the place, Indian music on the stereo and colourful Indian prints and fabrics on the walls. Stacks of books on Eastern philosophy and a health foods shop all add to a very laid back, hippy vibe.
