Word to the wise: Armani has a sophisticated homeware section at Via Manzoni, 37, selling cushions, curtains, and furnishings decked out in his distinctive greys and taupe.

Local hero Georgio Armani’s matt-black Milan superstore sits in Via Manzoni. Inside all is chic matt black; customers are enticed in through the pretty courtyard filled with flowers and potted plants, along with Armani-branded jeans, chocolates, cosmetics, and wines inside.

The Emporio Armani clothing line, a bookshop, women’s and men’s fashions are all in the building alongside the Emporio Armani Caffè and Nobu, the Japanese sushi bar and restaurant chain co-owned by chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa and actor Robert de Niro. New to the complex is the Armani Hotel Milano and its sybaritic spa, the very height of tasteful opulence.
