Contemporary Spanish cuisine sided with sweeping Bund views

Popular plate: The truffle beef bomb, suckling pig, lobster paella are to die for

Word to the wise: Reservations are a must if you want to secure a table at dinner time

This mid-range contemporary Spanish spot is helmed by Guillermo "Willy" Trullas, a petite, wildly quirky Spaniard who refers to many of his dishes as "sexy".

Willy puts a contemporary spin on traditional Spanish dishes, serving things like "juicy rice," a concoction halfway between risotto and paella. The restaurant's house wine goes well with seafood, and at RMB 250-ish a bottle, won't put a painful dent in your wallet.

This long-time Shanghai favourite recently relocated from its former French Concession digs to a fifth-floor Bund-side location, doubling its space and affording guests sweeping views of the Pudong skyline.
