Indie-kid drinking hole

Word to the wise: This is one of the few venues that stay open until 5am without a cover charge.

Talk of the town: Pete Doherty, Jarvis Cocker and Franz Ferdinand have all been known to frequent the bar.

The idea here is to hide a ‘micro-club’ inside a traditional pub, and it does just that. It has a British charm and great selection of beers to whet the lips, whilst also hosting impromptu post-concert gigs from the likes of Bloc Party, Justice and The Kills, as well as regular DJ nights playing a mix of indie, punk-rock and electro-pop.

There are two rooms, one dominated by the bar and the other with a dance floor on which indie-kids thrash about hoping for a Doherty cameo.
