The cherry on a trip to Palm Beach

Word to the wise: Jonah's is always busy, so it's wise to book well in advance.

Popular plate: Seafood plates are divine - try the local cod with stuffed peppers.

There's been a restaurant here since 1929, and has hosted a long A-list of diners including Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Anthony Hopkins, who all waxed lyrical about the French-inspired dishes that exploit the area's reputation for superior seafood.

It's a 45 minute drive from the city, but the beauty of the place - right on the beach - more than makes up for it.
