Candied treats and sticky sweets
A local favourite and that of everyone else with working taste buds, Confiserie Florian has been dishing out various sweet treats to port residents since 1974. As the second outpost of the feted sweet shop (the first was opened in Pont-du-Loup in 1949), the Nice store offers the same winning assortment of preserves, caramels, candied fruits and chocolates.
Most of the smaller products are made on-site and they have the pots and pans to prove it; fruit-glazing, chocolate-coating and jam-making all take place in the workshop open to the public. Ask nicely, and they'll even let you taste.
