Romantic Roman pasta place in Trastevere
Word to the wise: The brightly-lit interior isn't nearly as charming, so try to get a table on the patio.
Tucked away in a genteel spot behind Piazza Trilussa in Trastevere is a haven of home-style Italian cooking that comes at you in generously large portions. The award-winning fresh pastas are house specialities brought to your table in the metal dishes in which they were just cooked.
Run by brothers Massimo and Maurizio, Taverna Trilussa has been in the family for generations and is a favoured haunt of many for its use of exquisite fresh ingredients and the variety and quality of its wine list. On a summer’s day the ivy-clad romantically lit patio is an idyllic spot for your evening meal.
