This off-beat Dubai export has been catering to a gap in the UAE’s retail market for years. An indie boutique with an eye on the country’s local design scene, S*uce (pronounced “sauce”) is one of the few outlets in the capital with a sense of humour and a one-of-a-kind, design ethic.

The owners eschew big brands in favour of smaller, quirkier, more home-grown labels, like Essa and Sugar Vintage, as well as contemporary cult labels like 3.1 Phillip Lim and Vanessa Bruno. For unusual accessories, quirky tees and funky jewellery, there’s no better spot in the city.
