Built entirely in milky-white marble, Jaswant Thada is better known as the Taj Mahal of Rajasthan. Marvel at its exquisitely carved gazebos and lovely domes, illuminated by the sun’s rays during the day. A peaceful escape from the buzzing blue city, it is located to the left of Mehrangarh Fort and was built as a memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. A classic example of Rajputana architecture, this royal mausoleum houses an impressive collection of paintings of the Rathore clan and stunning sculptures and frescoes. A must-see for history buffs, the monument is one of the major landmarks in the blue city.
