Take a ride in the world’s largest rotating tramcar, located to the north of downtown in the Palm Springs city. The ten-minute ride commences from the Valley Station (set at an altitude of 2,643 feet) and concludes at the Mountain Station (perched at 8,516 feet above sea level) and provides a bird’s-eye view of the cityscape. The ride covers nearly 6000 feet vertically, passing through five different vegetation zones, from the Sonoran desert floor to the San Jacinto Mountains.
