Derek Freal abandoned the American Dream in 2009 to travel the world and eventually realized that Asia is the best part, which is why most of his writing covers India to Indonesia (and everywhere in between). However Derek"s specialty is in unique and offbeat travel guides -- not just for Asia but countries across the globe -- and in producing travel videos. Scenic views, delicious dining, world class shopping, art gallery and Pokemon headquarters all rolled into one. Welcome to Mori Tower, the jewel of Roppongi Hills and one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo. The lower floors are home to countless stores and restaurants; however, the upper floors are what the building is known for.

Watch the sun set over the Tokyo skyline in 360° of glory from the observation deck on the glass-walled 52nd floor complete with binocular viewing stations, or head on up to the open-air rooftop atop this 54-story skyscraper. Entrance is 1800 yen plus an additional 500 yen for the rooftop. However, tickets also include admission to the Mori Art Museum on the 53rd floor, making this a great “two birds with one stone” destination.
