An igloo lodge has opened in Greenland, offering thrill seekers an opportunity to have some authentic Arctic experience. The lodge, which is set to reopen in January 2021, features six traditional, and hand-built houses made of pure ice. Sounds amazing, right?

Each lodge will have room for two guests, so 12 people can book the lodge in a group. If you are worried about being cold inside the igloo, know that these lodges are complete with reindeer skins, winter sleeping bags and a petroleum lamp, which will keep you warm enough.

As per Arctic travel specialists, staying in an igloo is no luxury and is a natural thing. The lodge will also offer guests travel itineraries apart from lodging. So guests can also enjoy various snow activities here, such as snowmobiling and snowshoeing. Besides, the itinerary will also have two Northern Lights safaris.

Jonny Cooper, Founder of the lodge said, “The best Arctic adventures are all about experiencing authentic moments and creating lifelong memories, and this is one that delivers on both.”

Explaining further, he said that the moment a guest enters the igloo, he will understand the work that has gone behind creating such a thing. The skill has been passed down through the generations.

As far as other conveniences are concerned, there will be a wooden cabin on site, with bathroom facilities and communal area for eating. Though the temperatures outside can drop below zero, insides of the igloos remain around zero degrees Celsius.

The lodge is reopening from 27 January to April 8, 2021.
