Fotografiska is a museum, where each and everything revolves around photography. Needless to say, it’s a place like no other. Fotografiska is an international meeting place for contemporary photography, which features four exclusive large exhibitions and around 15-20 smaller exhibitions annually. Placed amidst the picture perfect views of Stockholm, the museum is remodelled by Swedish architect Ferdinand Boberg in Art Nouveau styled building. It was opened in 2010 and quickly became one of the hottest attractions in Stockholm. The exhibitions are curated in Swedish and English and guided tours of the exhibitions are also offered to the visitors. In addition, the place has a gift shop full of photography books and prints. You will find one of the best views in Stockholm from the bistro located on the top floor; this one has also won the prestigious Gold Dragon Award, run by the well-known chef Paul Svensson. The concept of the cafe focuses on green seasonal dishes. It organises the weekend brunch along with wine tasting events, concerts, and if your luck permits is turned into a dance club too. If you are visiting Stockholm for a longer period and have an interest in photography, Fotografiska offer seminars and workshops by well-known professionals. Do not miss.
