The conversation that accompanies any meal here, is usually that of people discussing the art that they’ve seen at the Whitworth Art Gallery. As widely appreciated as the modern and contemporary art, is the fact that there is a seasonal menu on offer from chef-proprietor Peter Booth—seven days a week. Warm salads featuring ingredients like asparagus, beetroot and goats curd—are what to expect. Regulars swear by the afternoon tea, accompanied by gooey organic brownies. The fresh food appears to be well-paired with the elegant glass-and-stainless-steel building extension designed by MUMA, in which the café is housed. From out of giant glass windows, Whitworth Park, in its entire splendour, is what you see outside.
