At 6 PM every day, the southern end of Beach Road closes to vehicular traffic and Walking Street officially comes to life. From South Pattaya Road all the way to the Bali Hai Pier, the entire street transforms into the epicenter of Pattaya nightlife. Whether your night starts or ends here, odds are that at some point you’ll be walking through it.

Walking Street is full of vendors, food, music venues, discotheques, and just about every type of bar you can think of—sports bars, beer bars, dive bars, go-go bars, everything! Common practice, when with a group of friends, is to start at one bar, have a drink, and then slowly work your way down the line one bar after the other. There’s very little walking involved; mostly, it is just sitting and drinking. But hey, that’s perfect after a long day in the sun on Beach Road.

How to get here?

Follow Beach Road south to the point, where vehicles are forced to turn left and the road becomes a pedestrian street. Behold! Walking Street. Alive from 6 PM to 2 AM.
