The mark of a good pizzeria is the presence of a wood-fired oven, casual vibes and perfectly-thin crust pizzas and Interlaken’s Pizzeria Horn seems to get just about everything right. This Italian restaurant has a huge selection of salads, pizzas, pastas and seafood preparations, all of which taste great. There is a dedicated wine cellar for all of the oenophiles and the in-house desserts are like a party on a platter. Unlike other eateries in Europe, Horn serves complimentary welcome drinks to all guests.

The patio seating of this address overlooks a verdant garden and is also home to some breath-taking views of the river Aare. The interiors, albeit simple, are equally pretty and welcoming. Andrea and Martin are the friendliest hosts you will ever meet and chef Antonio is the soul of the restaurant. These people are evidently very passionate and well-versed with Italian cuisine, something that only adds to the popularity of Pizzeria Horn. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the portions are large and the produce used is farm fresh. This eatery has been around for 50 years and the authenticity of the flavours has remained intact. Reserve a table and head over to Interlaken’s Harderstrasse to find out for yourself.
