A fancy French restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton in Osaka, La Baie is all about living the good life. With a classy ambience that is reminiscent of the days of yore, this beautiful establishment serves food that can easily be compared to a celebrated work of art. Their six course menu is the most popular choice for guests and comes paired with bottles of full-bodied wine from the many vineyards of France. Their a la carte menu has everything from delicious foie gras (goose liver) to sumptuous sea food apart from the usual authentic beef and lamb preparations. The choice of cheese is vast, as can be expected from any French restaurant and the desserts are inventive.
In terms of service, the waiters at La Baie are extremely polite and have excellent recommendations up their sleeve. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the chef seems to create magic with food, and that is perhaps why this place has a shining Michelin rating. Make your reservations well in advance and do keep in mind that the dress code demands a ‘sophisticated and casual’ attire. Expect to spend anything around 400 USD for a meal as this address is solely for the affluent.
