Hobart’s neighbourhoods are best explored on foot. Strolling around Battery Point is like stepping back several years in time. Narrow streets lined with fisherman’s houses, quaint cottages, colonial mansions, and pubs dot the precinct. The site was originally home to a gun battery, positioned to ward off enemy threats. The tea-rooms here and leafy green parks are good for an afternoon unwind.
