While New Orleans’s history and the rich cultural heritage have spawned a number of old world drinking holes with a charm that is unmatched, it is heartening that there are some newer ones that are proving to be a counter point. Among the new wave of bars and eating establishments that have been redefining New Orleans’s eating and drinking scene, Cure has been making waves for its incredible menu, especially its bar menu. Located in a reworked firehouse, the emphasis is on refinement. The bar menu can only be described as staggering, and certainly includes all the classics such as Pimms Cup, but sample ones with interesting names as Whisky Sinister, Little Boots, and Promises, Promises.
