There is greenery around the whitewashed buildings of monastery while tall poplars adorn the scenery. Mune gompa is on the left side of the road while coming from Padum and the guest house is on the right.
Monks of the monastery run a basic guest house near Mune gompa, which enables visitors to attend morning prayers. It is an excellent alternative for staying in Padum which will also add to your experience of living with the monks while not far away from civilization.
