Lisbon's cityscape is littered with many steep hills which allows for several vantage points with magnificent views over the city. There are many terraces or plazas from where one can look over the expanse of the city dotted with red roofs. The river Tagus creates a constant backdrop in the distant. Miradouro da Senhora do Monte is the highest point of the city providing the best views of the castle on the hill opposite. Take a short walk from the tram station and park on one of the benches. Soak in the relaxed vibe of the Lisbon from the elevation. Miradouro da Graça near the Graça Church is another place offering a panoramic view of the castle and central Lisbon. A drink at the open-air cafe around sunset can turn an ordinary evening into the most romantic one! Hiking up the hill is a great way to escape the hustle bustle of Central Lisbon. Enjoy the tranquillity in the middle of one of the busiest cities in Europe. It will make you fall in love with Lisbon like every other European!
