Seeing Angkor Wat from up in the sky is a dream of many travellers. There are two types of balloon rides, one of the rides has the balloon tied to the ground, and it flies passengers up and brings them down in few minutes. The floating balloon gives an opportunity to capture bird’s eye view of Siem Reap, and magnificent temples from the same spot. Of course this is the cheap one. The real thrill is to get on board a hot air balloon which glides in the air, circling the world heritage site. The ride is expensive but it is a once-in-a-lifetime-experience to witness spectacular sunrise from high above. The 360 degrees view of the iconic temple complex towering against the morning’s golden glow will leave lasting impressions. You can capture rare breathtaking images of Angkor Wat with the rectangular moat shining under the first rays of sun. If you have seen the sunrise over Angkor Wat from the ground level, wait till you see it from up in the air. It is wondrous to catch first glimpse of sun rays falling on the majestic Angkor Wat.
