Go on an evening road trip – This romantic stretch of road in Germany is 350 km long, and connects the Würzburg to Füssen in southern Germany. The road passes through the heart of Bavaria which is dotted with numerous picturesque towns. The same route once connected Southern Germany to the Central Germany during the medieval times. A day trip to the towns of Rothenburg, Nördlingen, and Harburg gives an opportunity to visit perfectly preserved old towns in Europe. The two hours long drive passes through stunning Bavarian countryside. While on the way to Rothenburg, visit the 11th-century Harburg Castle, one of the oldest and best preserved fortifications of medieval times. Stroll around the streets of Rothenburg, and soak up the medieval history. If time permits, consider visiting few more towns over a period of three to four days. The pretty villages add to the charm to the picture perfect setting of German countryside. The fairytale setting will certainly revive the romance in your life.
