The most modern and the largest aquarium in Asia, the Underwater World Pattaya has a 100-m long pedestrian tunnel running under the water body with dozen of marine species frolicking around for your sightseeing. This place is located 200 m south of Tesco Lotus in South Pattaya.

The aquarium has more than 4000 marine animals. Two hundred of the species are from the region while some are also rare and hail from overseas. Of special mention perhaps is the shovelnose ray, which is somewhat of a hybrid of stingray and shark.

Visitors can go in three tunnels. Tunnel 1 is Coral Reef zone. Tunnel 2 has Sharks and Rays Zone, while tunnel 3 is Shipwrecks Zone.
The Shipwrecks Zone has a sunken ship and is home to many fish. The artificial shipwreck is not only an attraction at the Underwater World but also houses many fish.

At the Underwater World, you would also find jellyfish dancing gracefully before your eyes in the Jellyfish World. Be enchanted by them as you set your eyes on one of the oldest animals of the marine world.

Similarly, another interesting attraction is the Touch Poll. It has rock pool collections from different coastal areas around Thailand. You can also interact with many marine animals by touching them.

Adults need to pay 500 Bhat to enter Underwater World whereas children get to enter for 300 Baht. It is open for visitors from 9 am to 6 pm daily.

Good and clean attraction — this place has been rated high by quite a number of tourists.
