It is home to the Matahari Kuta Square department store, which boasts of a hypermarket and fashion stores. You will also find a selection of both local and international designer stores, surfing and sport brands, as well as quality local stores, jewellers, souvenirs shops and batik outlets.
The designer stores include Gucci, Versace, Armani and DKNY. Likewise, big names for surfing and sport clothes include Rip Curl, Billabong, Quiksilver, Nike, Adidas, Dreamland Surf, Kuta Lines and Volcom Stone. Restaurants line the eastern side of Kuta Square with international fast-food franchises like KFC and McDonalds. You can also wander around the ice cream and fresh juice parlours or check out a couple of local, Indonesian places to eat.
