These are a set of fishing camps along the river Cauvery run by the state owned—Jungle Lodges and Resorts. These are ideal places for relaxation along the river Cauvery. The three camps—Bheemeshwari, Doddamakali and Galibore were once known for their catch of mahseer, but with the recent ban, angling is pursued at a much lesser scale. However, they are also ideal for other kinds of activities such as forest treks, nature walks, stream crossing and bouldering. The accommodation is in keeping with the surroundings and is rustic but quite comfortable at the same time. The ambience is all about the wilderness with forests and river for company. The most popular is Bheemeshwari, about 110 km to the East of Mysore.
