This is the most popular jungle in Goa and for good reason. It is home to a majestic waterfall called Dudhsagar, named so after its full and frothy appearance, especially in the monsoons. Unlike other wildlife sanctuaries in Goa, Bhagwan Mahavir, and in particular, Mollem National Park is touristy and offers plenty of options to stay overnight.
At Dudhsagar Waterfall, adventure companies might entice you with activities, such as hikes, treks, bike safaris, kayaking, archery, elephant rides and traditional meals. A board by Dudhsagar Tour Operators Association welcomes you to the staging area at Collem. This is where you could take a jeep safari inside the park. To proceed beyond this point, you need to rent a 4x4 ride, pay for your cameras and life jackets. As of April 2016, the tour operators charge ₹ 2800 per vehicle with a capacity to carry seven people. Depending on the number of people in your group the cheapest fare comes to ₹ 400 per person. Add the forest entry and other fees; your least possible total cost is ₹ 480 per person. It takes about 45 minutes one way and the tour operators give you 90 minutes to enjoy the waterfall for a total time of 3 hours inside.
