Also known as the 'Grand Dame' because of its suaveness and magnificent ways amongst other hotels in Amsterdam, it is positioned in the heart of Amsterdam by the side of River Amstel. This hotel has private event rooms, wedding venues, 3D interactive floor plans, spa and the wellness fitness studio. There is an assortment of luxurious rooms available here, with a choice of Deluxe Rooms, Premium Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites, Deluxe One Bedroom Suite, Prestige One Bedroom Suite, Provocateur Suite and the Penthouse Suite. The décor differs from one room to the other. However, most of them have heated bathroom floors, huge relaxing baths with a built-in TV, a private balcony and views of either Amsterdam's historical city centre, River Amstel or the interior courtyard. The Provocateur Suite in particular is themed like Vincent Van Gogh's idea of the ceiling like a starry night and a circular bed whereas the Penthouse Suite is one of its kind, with six enormous bedrooms with a private riverside terrace. Amazing food awaits you at its diners—Bord'Eau, Hoofdstad Brasserie, Freddy's Bar, Hét Terras and Promenade, which has a traditional, old warm ambience where a wide range of wines is served.
