Silvassa has been home to tribes like Warli, Dhodia and Kokna for centuries. To commemorate their art, culture and life, government has established a small museum in the heart of Silvassa town. It shows how different anthropological tribes originated and thrived in this area, how they have lived their lives and adapted to the changes of modern development. One can see bows, daggers and spears on the walls of the museum. The museum also shows photos of daily life, weddings, Kanseri festival and Kokna tribal dance. The museum is open to public from 9 AM – 5 PM and there is no entry fee.
