Plaza de Medina del Campo is one of the loveliest squares in the city and has some beautiful monuments that surround it. One of the most important is the Romanesque church of San Martin, which is magnificent in design and structure. But it also depicts styles from various periods which seamlessly integrate the whole. An arresting tower, in Romanesque-Mudejar style topped by a Baroque spire, rises majestically into the sky. It also has stunning porches and rare exhibits in the museum inside. There’s also the Torreon, a large fortified tower built in the 14th century, which is currently used to host exhibitions throughout the year.
