Get a bird’s-eye view of the whole city of Jaisalmer from a small hill that is popularly known as the Sunset Point. As the sun transforms itself from a bright harsh ball of fire to a soothing golden, the redness starts filling up the sky and the city below also gets painted in gold. It’s a visual treat to see the fort turning golden due to the soft rays of the setting sun. If you like photography you will get ample opportunities to click the evening colours of the sky, the fort, the golden city and the monuments standing tall against the dramatic backdrop of the sky. Just ensure that you reach there at least an hour before the sunset.
