Once you’ve explored the palm-lined boulevards and shopped to your heart’s content, walk past Ain Diab to the beach. Casablanca has an edge over other Moroccan cities, including Marrakech, because it offers beach-bumming opportunities. While the ocean is warm for a number of months during the summer and few locals can be seen swimming as well, it’s best to stick to your hotel’s swimming pools as the waves can get quite rough in this part of the country.

Spend your time at the beach relaxing and admiring endless stretches of white sand. There are lots of ice-cream and popcorn vendors around if you need a snack or two. The beach in Casablanca provides the perfect recipe for unwinding under the Moroccan sun. If you want to pamper yourself further, why not try one of the luxurious hammams in the neighbouring areas. While traditional hammams can be quite rustic and rough, there are a number of spas fashioned like hammams in Morocco. They offer the ultimate in luxury—you’ll come out a different person.
