While it can’t compare to the world-famous rooftop bars of Bangkok, Myst Rooftop Bar and Restaurant on the top floor of Maya Shopping Center is the closest you’re going to get in Chiang Mai, maybe that’s because there is actually a branch of the bar in Bangkok as well. It offers views of Doi Suthep Mountain, creative cocktails and innovative molecular gastronomy. Come for the sunset views but stay for the crazy bartending tricks (champagne towers, rainbow shots, flaming drinks) and nightclub feel. The place is also one of the only spots in Chiang Mai where you can also smoke sheesha. This is where you come if you’re looking for a wild evening out, want to impressive your date or need a good girls’ night out. Like Think Park, there are several other bars in the same area so you can jump around if you want a different vibe. While out of the city centre, it’s still easy to get to and all tuk tuks or songthaews (shared taxis) will know exactly where to take you.
