Go Japanese at Gastown and let sake (alcoholic beverage of Japan) take over your senses. Popularly known as Guu, it is located at one of the bustling streets of Gastown―Water Street. It claims to be a pioneer in Isakaya, an informal Japanese pub that serves food as well. As I sip my sake, the guide tells me that Otokomae refers to a very handsome man. The restaurant is always bustling and you may need more than a few sips of sake to beat the energy and the screaming inside. Sashimi is of course one of the favourites here but you can ask for their local specialty as well.
