Serving fresh Thai, Mediterranean and fusion food, Bird’s Nest Cafe is a longstanding favourite among Chiang Mai’s yoga and expat crowd. With its inviting atmosphere that encourages you to take off your shoes and stay awhile, it’s easy to find yourself spending hours lounging on the comfy cushions while trying some of the delectable veggie dishes, including curries, salads and sandwiches, and drinks, such as coconut milk lattes and fresh-squeezed juices with tropical fruits like mango and passion fruit. It’s also a great place to come for Western-style breakfast or lunch foods, something you can’t find just anywhere.

There’s a strong community around Bird’s Nest and the restaurant regularly holds special dinners, workshops, cooking courses, live music and other events. Additionally, the restaurant runs an organic market near the Three Kings monument in the centre of the Old City every Friday afternoon starting around 3:00 pm (when the restaurant closes early for the day).
