ROAD TRIPS, NEW ZEALAND Updated : Dec 17, 2014, 02.32 PM IST

Part of the World Heritage Highway, the Milford Road is a two-hour drive through south west New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park. Glaciers, lakes, and mountains serve as the backdrop for the scenic drive, which has a number of walks and hikes available to visitors who want to stretch their legs. Key Summit Track, Routeburn Track, and the Lake Marian Track are longer hikes, but many shorter walks exist as well.
