A guided hike through Banagudi Shola (Sacred Forest) is the best way to explore the grove. You will get to spot several varieties of birds, reptiles, and even some wildlife while you’re there. There’s even a tribal settlement—the Kurumba tribe—that thrives in its forested expanse to this day. Make your way to Toriya (a tribal village) close by, and take a beat before heading back.
