It is recommended that you visit Pethakal Bungalow right at the start of your trip, so as to get well oriented with the town. A sprawling collection of memorabilia is spread over two wood-lined floors in the original bungalow, which was set up by John Sullivan. It takes you through the journey of the hills from pre-colonial tribal era right up till British occupation.
