High fashion, Arabian style

For shoppers tired of the High Street, Grafika has the answer. The cosy boutique, owned by Abu Dhabi local and digital artist, Sumayyah Al Suwaidi, is stocked with a mix of formal and casual wear, funky abayas (cloaks) and Western clothes with a regional touch.

There’s also a range of designer baubles and handbags, many styled with classic Arabic imagery. Al Suwaidi designs much of it herself, though shelves are also stocked with the greatest hits of Middle Easter design. The clutch hand-embroidered with Arabic text makes for a portable souvenir.
