A surreal lunar landscape
Word to the wise: After arriving into Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station, exit 2, take the Kuo Kuang Hao bus that will land you in Jinshan after an hour and a half.

As the Datun mountains were battered over time by the sea, wind and occasional earthquake, slowly the limestone warped and crumbled to form what is now this magnificent moonscape dotted with spectacular hoodoo stones. Scattered over the 1.7km cape, wander through these grand rock formations - around 180 in total - trying to spot the most famous Queen's Head (resembling the bust of Nefertiti), the Fairy Shoe or the Bee Hive.
The geological park is divided into three sections containing different types of rock formations, the second section being home to the Queen's Head. The third area is a wave-cut platform falling steeply down to the sea, which is also a major ecology reserve. The park's pathways - resembling a lunar landscape - make for an epic coastal walk.
