On first inspection, Sandy Bell's doesn’t look like anything particularly special. A tiny, traditional pub with an admirable selection of ales and whiskies, it's pleasant enough, but there are many better pubs across the city. And yet, this bar is a talking point around the globe in musical circles for the very good reason that it has been staging the best in folk music for a terribly long time.
