Noteworthy for: The Museum's annual Day of the Dead is a city-wide hit, attracting visitors throughout October in the run-up to the Day of the Dead itself.

Small but perfectly formed, this free Pilsen gallery displays a great collection of Mexican art and artefacts from across the ages. While its name is rather grand, the collection itself is modest, as much about pottery and textiles as it is about painting. Unfortunately, there are no works by Frida Kahlo here, but you will find pieces from Mexico's "Tres Grandes", the three artists who made their country the world's centre for mural painting in the 20th century.

With a great community buzz (and a good gift shop), the museum is a center for Pilsen's Mexican community and really comes alive in the run up to Autumn's Day of the Dead celebration, when it runs its own annual show.
